Description:

This 2-hour webinar is designed for clinicians seeking to enhance their skills in addressing problem gambling through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions. This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of problem gambling, exploring its diagnostic criteria, evidence-based research, and the core principles of CBT as applied to this disorder. Participants will learn practical strategies for assessment, case conceptualization, and the implementation of evidence-based CBT techniques, including identifying and modifying maladaptive thoughts and beliefs, managing urges and cravings, and developing relapse prevention plans. Through case examples, interactive discussions, and practical exercises, clinicians will gain the confidence and competence to integrate CBT interventions into their work with individuals struggling with problem gambling.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the diagnostic criteria for Gambling Disorder and differentiate it from other related behavioral issues.
