A recent study done at the University of Mississippi of students from seven Mississippi universities found that 39% of college students gambled in a variety of formats in the past year. Of those who engaged in sports betting, 6% met criteria for problem gambling.

As legalized sports betting grows across the United States, a growing number of young men are falling into gambling addictions without recognizing the signs. Driven by the explosion of mobile betting platforms and a lack of age-targeted resources, many see betting as a form of entertainment or investing − until it’s too late.

Whether it's from work, personal life, or the weight of unmet expectations, burnout is a significant challenge in today's fast-paced, performance-driven world. We live in a culture of "upward comparisons," constantly measuring ourselves against those further along than us, which can leave us feeling inadequate; or we get buried under a growing workload with little institutional support.

Ahead of the 2025 Campaign, join NCPG Staff as they review the new and updated campaign toolkit, discuss the different participation levels, and offer suggestions for how to tailor the Gift Responsibly Campaign messages to your audience(s).
